RVD tries to get to his feet while the crowd chants his name but “Prince Pretty” is on a roll and grabs RVD for a strong Inverted DDT! Breeze tags in Fandango, who locks in a head lock on "The Whole Dam Show”, preventing the extreme superstar any kind of comeback. Fandango applies pressure, with Adam Rose showing his approval. RVD somehow regains his senses and starts to get up and hit some strong elbows to the face, eventually getting himself free of the hold and nailing some swift kicks! RVD then goes for a German Suplex! Pin combination! 1-2- kick out! RVD finally gets some momentum and goes for his signature Rolling Thunder! No! Fandango puts his knees up and counters the move! Mysterio argues with the referee, giving enough time for Fandango to hit a sneaky facebuster! Breeze re-enters the ring and goes for the cover! 1-2-… barely kicks out! The numbers are becoming too much for RVD and Mysterio. Breeze tags in Fandango, who goes for the top rope and for his Diving Leg Drop. Incoming! Misses! Mysterio moves in the last second and tags in RVD! RVD hits multiple kicks and pushes Fandango to the corner! RVD then goes for his well-known Split Legged Mounsault! It hits! RVD goes for the cover but… what? The referee is distracted by Rose’s complaints, allowing Breeze to enter and break the pin. RVD gets up and goes for a Leg-feed feint enzuigiri but Breeze counters into the Beauty Shot! This must be it! Fandango for the cover! 1-2-…. Mysterio breaks it! Great timing by Rey! Breeze tries to throw Mysterio outside but both superstars fall into the concrete floor, leaving the legal RVD and Fandango in the ring. Match 3 – 330bkgm.jpg  VS  nnjyo4.jpg

  • “The Savior of Misbehavior” starts the match by slowly moving around the ring, picking his time to strike. Axel becomes nervous and makes the first move, only to get caught in a Crossface! It’s locked in! Axel screams in pain while trying to reach the ropes! Hold on…. Graves breaks the hold himself and goes to the corner, apparently taking his time. Weird move here. Axel gets up, with Graves stalking him, hitting a strong chop block to the knee, sending Axel to the ground. Graves then hits a brutal Leg DDT! It’s clear that Corey is starting to work on Axel’s legs. Graves then stomps on Axel’s head, in a cocky and disrespectful way, apparently mocking his opponent. Axel grabs the ropes in order to get up but gets nailed with a Fireman's carry backbreaker, quickly followed by a Leglock. Axel is in trouble but again, Corey gives up the hold… allowing Axel to reach the bottom ropes. Corey goes outside and pushes grabs Axel’s left leg, throwing it against the ring post! Oh no! Corey locks in Lucky 13 submission move on the ring post!! Axel screams in pain and instantly taps out but Corey isn’t in the ring so it doesn’t count! The referee starts to count and Corey releases the move. He then slowly enters the ring and locks in a Cloverleaf submission move! Axel taps out on the spot! Corey Graves wins his return match and what a statement he just sent.

                                                               Winner: Corey Graves

- Corey Graves asks for the microphone and says “Balor, this is what's coming your way, boy”. He then locks in Lucky 13 on Axel again, who passes out in pain while referees and officials try to pull Graves away! The demented superstar is back and meaner than ever!

                                                  rjmxy8.jpg

- The announcers inform us of the rumours going around about new superstars joining the ranks of NXT after the Extreme Rules PPV. Apparently we’ve been told that Bad News Barrett might be a permanent on the roster but still lacks any official statement on this matter. Stay tuned for more information!

- We return to NXT and the Japanese sensation, Hideo Itami, makes his way to the ring with determination. Hideo shows great improvement in his English and says that Kurt Angle was an inspiration for him, that he always respected and admired his work and wanted to follow his footsteps but after what happened two weeks ago, with Angle blindsiding him and also attacking their NXT General Manager and his good friend William Regal, he has no other option but to show his disappointment over Kurt’s actions. He then says that talking isn’t his strong suit so all he wants and cares about is….. to fight Kurt Angle, right here, right now! The NXT crowd erupts in excitement over the possibility of seeing Hideo vs Angle.

- Kurt Angle theme plays and out comes “The Wrestling Machine”, with the crowd showing their side by chanting “You Suck” back at the submission specialist. Angle enters the ring and goes face-to-face with Hideo, saying that whatever he does, it’s his own business and he doesn’t owe Itami or these fans any kind of explanation. He says he EARNED the right to say and do whatever he wants in the wrestling business and there’s no one on NXT or WWE that will stop him.

- Suddenly, William Regal’s theme plays out with the NXT General Manager appearing on the stage. The still hurt Englishman says that Angle is pushing everyone’s buttons and it will eventually get to him. He tells everyone that he agrees with Hideo, that talking is cheap and actions speak way louder than words so here’s his proposal: at Extreme Rules PPV, Kurt Angle vs Hideo Itami…. In a Last Match Standing Match! Crowd shows their appreciation and cheer the decision. Regal stops them and says it’s not all. NXT needs something more…. Everyone shows their skills and hard work every single week and for that, those people need to be rewarded therefore….. This match will also be for the newly introduced NXT Intercontinental Championship!! Angle and Hideo stare each other while the crowd chant “YES”, approving these decisions.

Match 4 - vqmk5k.jpg  VS  2ik7i0y.jpg

  • As promised, Christian accompanies Corbin to the ring, although “The Lone Wolf” doesn’t seem very comfortable or pleased with it while Viktor also stands alongside his teammate. The match starts with both powerhouses entering a strength contest, with Corbin actually overpowering the NXT Tag Team Champion into a corner. Corbin continues with some strong punches to the gut until the referee separates both men. Corbin goes for the Big Boot but Konnor moves and hits a back suplex. Konnor then goes for multiple elbow drops to the chest and a cover. Kick out. Christian keeps motivating Corbin outside. Konnor grabs Corbin and irish whips him but gets caught with a nasty Shoulder Block. Corbin then locks in a chin lock but Konnor is quick in reaching the bottom rope. Corbin releases the hold and goes for a powerslam. Konnor counters and hits a Flapjack on Corbin! Konnor then locks in a Single leg Boston crab in the middle of the ring! Corbin uses his power to reverse the move and succeeds, pushing Konnor against the ropes and hitting a strong clothesline, with Konnor falling to the outside. Viktor checks his teammate and Konnor quickly re-enters the ring and goes for a takedown but Corbin picks him up and hits a devastating Tilt-a-whirl powerbomb! Cover! 1-2- kick out! Konnor looks in trouble, while Corbin grabs his waist. Konnor elbow smashes Corbin and hits a Spinebuster! Konnor once again irish whips Corbin and goes for a corner splash. Oh-ho! Konnor hits the referee instead! This is the second time tonight that a referee goes down, a bad night for the officials. As Corbin recuperates Viktor does a sneaky attack on Christian, pushing him against the ring steps outside and quickly entering the ring. Corbin is now in a 2-on-1 situation! Viktor and Konnor both attacks Corbin, who manages to keep the fight going, even hitting Viktor with a Big Boot but Konnor stops him with another Flapjack! The NXT Tag Team Champions set up the Fall of Man…. Wait, it’s Christian! Christian enters the ring and unloads a fury of punches to Viktor, sending him to the corner and hitting a Tornado DDT! Konnor and Corbin start brawling once again, with Corbin pushing Konnor away and going for a Clothesline From Hell.
  • NO! Konnor ducks and Corbin hits Christian right in the chin!! Corbin wasn’t expecting that! Hold on! Fall of Man!! Konnor and Viktor hit the Fall of Man on Corbin while the referee recuperates! This can’t be, not again! Viktor silently leaves the ring, with Konnor covering Corbin. 1-2-3!! The Ascension wins and, again, the miscommunication between Baron Corbin and Christian proves to be fatal!

                                                                      Winner: Konnor

- Christian gets to his feet, violently arguing with Corbin. Both men get too close and the room gets heated! Corbin slowly goes away, with Christian still asking for explanations about what happened. Things aren’t looking good for these two.

                                                              2nbfy3q.png

- Ladies and Gentlemen, it’s been made official; Kurt Angle and Hideo Itami will face each other in a Last Man Standing Match at Extreme Rules for the newly reinstated Intercontinental Championship! Also, The Ascension will defend their titles against the team of Rey Mysterio and Rob Van Dam in an Extreme Rules Match! Next, the NXT Champion Finn Balor goes to battle with the returning Bad News Barrett!

Main Event –2nbt84z.jpg  VS  154f3o2.jpg

  • It’s been 5 years since Bad News Barrett left NXT but the English Brawler makes his surprise return and goes straight to the top; the NXT Champion Finn Balor. Both superstars lock in early on, with neither gaining momentum. After some time, BNB catches Balor with an Abdominal Stretch, fully locking the move. Balor begins to counter and manages to set himself free and hits a couple of dropkicks to BNB. Balor picks Barrett up and goes for a back suplex but gets an elbow to the face, allowing Barrett to deliver some bad news in the form of a Fall Away Slam! Cover! 1-2 kick out! Balor seems to struggle to get up, perhaps picking an injury. Barret doesn’t seem to care and hits some nasty blows to the Irishman’s back, putting the champion in the ground once more. BNB then locks in a Surfboard submission move, hurting Balor’s back even more. Barrett then quickly goes for the cover. 1-2-kick out! Balor is definitely showing signs of an injury, as he is getting slower and his last kick out was too close. BNB picks Balor up and hits a Backbreaker, continuing to work on his back. Barrett then set ups a Powerbomb, wanting to inflict even more pain to Balor’s back. Wait, counter! Finally Balor shows some life and counters the powerbomb into an Inverted DDT! Balor seems very tired and is unable to get some momentum going. Barrett is already up again and goes for the Big Boot but Balor ducks and hits a Pele Kick! BNB is groggy, with Balor picking the brawler up and hits a great suplex! Apparently, the suplex had negative effects on the champion, as he is down on a knee with back problems. Big Boot! What a devastating Boot to the face by Barrett! 1-2-…… KICK OUT! So damn close! Barrett looks frustrated and sets up his Wasteland finisher! Balor is on his shoulders! Counter! Bloody Sunday! What a counter! Balor manages to counter into the Bloody Sunday! 1-2- kick out! Both superstars struggle to get to their feet. BNB is once again the first one up and goes for the Bull Hammer Elbow! Balor ducks and hits a vicious front dropkick, sending Barrett against the corner! This is Balor’s chance! He slowly climbs the turnbuckle…..
  • Wait, the lights went out….. It’s Corey Graves theme but… where is he? Is he playing some kind of mind games? Bull Hammer!!!! My God! Barrett took the opportunity and nailed a knock out Bull Hammer to a distracted Balor! 1-2-3! This is it! Barrett actually defeated the NXT Champion in his return match on NXT! One must consider that Graves is starting to mess with Balor’s mind.

                                                                 Winner: Bad News Barrett

- Balor shows his frustrations in the ring, having lost focus in a crucial time. As the NXT Champion tried to regain his feet, Corey Graves enters the ring out of nowhere and nails a brutal chair shot on Balor’s head.

- He then picks up the NXT Championship and poses over the fallen body of Finn Balor, showing that he has the champion’s number.
