NXT Episode 1

           Match 1 -                                                                                        VS
                                      

• This match comes from last week’s backstage attack from The Rose Express on several NXT superstars, most noticeably, Christian and Baron Corbin. Christian started the match aggressively against Tyler Breeze, pushing the “Prince Pretty” to a corner. Christian went for some hard hitting chops to the chest and a strong dropkick, sending Breeze once again against the corner. Fully in control, “Captain Charisma” went for a top rope DDT but Breeze countered with a high kick to the head and went for a foot choke. Breeze quickly tagged Fandango in, who quickly suplexed Christian and locked in a chin lock. Baron Corbin keeps screaming for a tag, as the big man is eager to get his hands on his attackers. Christian manages to get up and turn the momentum, unleashing a fury of flying forearms until Fandango goes down! As Christian gets in position for a Spear, Corbin tags himself in, leaving Christian uncomfortable and upset, while “The Lone Wolf” goes in hard, hitting a huge big boot to the face on Fandango. Corbin picks Fandango up and goes for the Spinebuster but Fandango counters with an enziguiri and tags Breeze in. Tyler Breeze tries to finish it with The Beauty Shot but Corbin moves away and hits a tremendous powerslam! Corbin had enough and goes for The End of Days but Christian tags himself in as well, and quickly drops Breeze with a dropkick. Corbin is still in the ring complaining to the referee while Christian gets set for the Spear… Oh no! Breeze moved in the last second, making Christian connect the Spear on Corbin instead! As “Captain Charisma” looks confused, Breeze takes the opportunity and hits The Beauty Shot on Christian! 1-2-3! That’s it, The Rose Express wins!

                                 Winners: The Rose Express (Tyler Breeze & Fandango)

- The Rose Express steals one after some constant miscommunication between Christian and Corbin. Christian simply leaves the ring, shaking his head in disapproval while Corbin still recovers in the ring.




- We see the NXT Champion Finn Balor backstage, welcoming Rey Mysterio back to the company. At the same time, “The Olympic Gold Medalist” Kurt Angle passes by, looking down on both Balor and Mysterio before leaving.




                                                         Match 2 

  VS VS

• The match starts strong, with AJ Lee and Emma quickly throwing Naomi out of the ring, making this a one-on-one match early on. AJ controls the pace of the match, with strong chin locks and arm locks, wearing Emma down. AJ Lee then goes for low dropkick, making Emma hit her head hard on the mat. AJ isn’t playing around and picks Emma up for a powerslam but Emma counters into a crucifix pin combination, almost surprising AJ. Emma then hits some hard clotheslines to AJ and eventually throwing the “Crazy Chick” to the outside of the ring. As AJ tries to recover, Naomi hits her with a devastating Super Kick before re-entering the ring and takedown Emma. The blond superstar tries to lock in a submission move but Naomi headbutts her multiple times, followed by a DDT. Naomi goes for the cover but Emma barely quicks out. Naomi tries the cover once more but another kick out! Naomi goes to the top rope and hits a diving leg drop on Emma! Another cover…. Kick out! Emma is starting to show signs of fatigue and one must wonder how much longer can she endure this onslaught. Naomi sets up the Rear View but AJ Lee grabs her feet from the outside, giving time for Emma to hit an explosive dropkick! AJ Lee enters the ring and counters Emma’s dropkick attempt into a Tilt-a-whirl headscissors takedown! AJ Lee quickly goes for Shinning Wizard but Naomi pulls her away, clotheslining AJ into the ground. Emma finally gets up and locks in the Emma Lock on Naomi! She got the full extent of the hold! Naomi might tap out here! But wait, AJ Lee returns and hits a devastating Shinning Wizard to Emma! 1-2-3! She got it! Naomi was too hurt to prevent the pin! AJ Lee emerges victorious.

- We see NXT General Manager William Regal getting ready for his big match against the returning Kurt Angle. It’s next!



Match 3 –    VS 

• The vocal NXT crowd heavily cheers for Kurt Angle but quickly gets a reminder of “The Wrestling Machine’s” actions last week and the cheers slowly turn into boos. Regal and Angle lock in, trying to see who can get the upper hand early on. Both men exchange holds without any gaining momentum over the other, with the crowd cheering for the great showing of skills from Angle and Regal, something already expected. After a constant struggle, Angle manages to get ahead and grabs Regal’s waist, hitting a side powerslam. Angle viciously strikes Regal in the face with multiple uppercuts and forearms, leaving the NXT General Manager in bad shape. Angle then locks in a bodyscissors on Regal while continuing to hit forearms. He then goes for a rear near choke but somehow Regal manages to turn it into a pin! Kick out! Angle quickly goes for a leg takedown but Regal catches Angle with an explosive Tiger Suplex! Regal picks Angle up and hits a T-Bone Suplex now! Regal clearly still got it and he’s showing it right here on NXT! Angle is groggy and Regal takes advantage and hits his signature Knee Trembler! He goes for the cover! Angle kicks out! William Regal goes for the Regal-Plex but Angle counters into a German Suplex! Oh-oh, Angle puts the straps down and we all know what this means. Angle goes on to pick Regal up but he gets himself caught on the Regal Stretch!

• But wait, Regal doesn’t have the move fully locked, giving Angle the time to counter into the Ankle Lock! Kurt Angle has Regal on the Ankle Lock in the middle of the ring! Regal valiantly tries to get to the ropes but Angle grapevine Regal’s leg, leaving no other option for the Englishman than to tap out! Kurt Angle wins his return match by submission!

- Kurt Angle doesn’t want to let go of the hold until the referee pulls him apart. Angle then asks for the microphone and tells everyone that what he did to Regal was nothing compared to what he will do to Hideo Itami and everyone else on NXT, calling himself the “New Top dog in the yard”. Strong words from “The Olympic Gold Medalist”.



                            

- We’re informed that next week, Rob Van Dam and Rey Mysterio will make their return to the ring against The Rose Express in a Nº1 Contenders Match for the NXT Tag Team Championships!


                                                   
                          
- A video package is shown, hyping another return! This time is "The Savior of Misbehavior” Corey Graves, who’s returning to the ring next week after his early retirement!

Match 4 –   VS 

• Adam Rose is accompanied by his fellow Rose Express members, Tyler Breeze and Fandango. The match starts with Rose wasting some time, getting himself out of the ring and receiving some advice and motivation from his fellow companions. Joe gets annoyed by it and grabs Rose by the hair, throwing him back into the ring. Joe then unleashes a storm of punches and chops to Rose as punishment, followed by a suplex into the mat. Joe doesn’t let go and locks in a headlock to Rose while staring at Breeze and Fandango outside. After wearing down Rose, Samoa Joe picks him up and goes for an amazing Dragon Suplex! He then tried a running big boot but Rose ducked, hitting Joe with a dropkick and a flying wheel kick. Joe goes down in one knee, while Rose hits a fantastic facebuster! Cover! Kick out! Rose finally starts to gain momentum and goes for a Spinning Spinebuster but Joe blocks it, hitting him instead with a Samoa Drop! Rose slowly crawls to the corner while Joe stalks him. As Rose gets up, Joe quickly regains control by hitting him with a vicious big boot. He places Rose on the top of the turnbuckle…. Oh boy, it’s time for the Muscle Buster! Samoa Joe has him on his shoulders and hits it hard! This must be over! Joe goes for the cover but both Breeze and Fandango enter the ring, attacking Joe with the match ending in disqualification.

- Rose joins them on the attack, with the three members stomping on a helpless Joe. Breeze and Fandango pick Joe up long enough for Adam Rose to hit the Party Foul, leaving “Samoan Submission Machine” laid in the middle of the ring.



                                              


- In breaking news, we’re informed that next week Hideo Itami will be on NXT to address Kurt Angle’s recent actions! Can’t miss it!




                                                                    Main Event

 VS

• The bout starts with both Zayn and Viktor as the legal men. They exchange holds until Viktor hits a powerful neckbreaker, apparently gaining control of the match. Viktor then goes to work on Zayn’s legs, in order to keep the explosive Canadian on the ground and preventing him from unleashing his known aerial attack. Viktor locks in a Boston Crab, while Zayn tries to reach the ropes. As Zayn struggles, Viktor releases the hold and hits a powerful elbow smash on Zayn’s back. He tags in Konnor, who quickly grabs Zayn and hits a Russian Legsweep. He then applies a Camel Clutch but before fully locking the hold, Zayn elbows Konnor in the face, gaining some time to deliver some fierce kicks to the big man. Konnor goes down on one knee while Zayn desperately tries to reach the NXT Champion Finn Balor for a tag. Unfortantely, it was too late, as Konnor tags in Viktor once again, who pulls him apart and nails a scary STO! Cover! Zayn kicks out! Viktor tags in Konnor and both work on Zayn’s weakened legs. Konnor picks Zayn up and tries a Flapjack but Zayn counters, hitting Konnor with a DDT! Zayn then crawls to Balor while Konnor is still dizzy! Balor is in! Balor explodes all over the ring, hitting Konnor with some flying forearms and a Sling Blade! Viktor enters the ring but is welcomed with a brutal running front Dropkick, sending the tag team champion violently against the corner! Balor is on fire and picks Konnor up for The Bloody Sunday but Konnor counters into a Flapjack. Konnor then tags Viktor, who goes for a Running STO on Balor but Zayn appears out of nowhere and hits him with the Blue Thunder Bomb! Zayn then Suicide Dives to the outside into Konnor, catching him and hitting a DDT on the concrete floor! In the meantime, Balor recovers and picks Viktor up for The Bloody Sunday! He hits it this time!

• Balor goes to the top rope! Coup de Grâce! Connects! 1-2-3! Balor and Zayn defeated the NXT Tag Team Champions! Great battle!

- As Balor and Zayn celebrate in the ring, a familiar song starts to play….

- Corey Graves is on the stage, staring Balor down and pointing to his NXT Championship, making his intentions known to everyone: He’s back and he wants that championship!
