- Monday Night Raw stars off with The Authority, heading to the ring without much emotion in their faces. Triple H and Kane take the middle of the ring and show his unpleasantness with Brock Lesnar’s Number One contendership. Seth Rollins takes the mic and rants about how Lesnar’s opportunity is over, done with and he should be getting to the end of the line, not the front.
- It’s time for Kane to take the microphone. He starts by calling out JeriShow, their enforcers, and explains to Lesnar that it won’t be that easy to get his hands on Rollins or the WWE World Heavyweight Championship. During the next following weeks, Lesnar will have to face multiple challenges in order to get his chance, otherwise he will indeed be going to the end of the line. Oh and it will start tonight with a match against…. Kane himself.
Match 1 - VS
-
Sheamus dominated the match from the very beginning, bulldozing
Stardust all over the ring. “The Prince of Dark Matter” tried a brief
comeback but Sheamus put an end to it with a devastating Running double
axe handle. After that, a Brogue Kick followed and the pin was academic.
- We see Paul Heyman backstage, talking on the phone with an apprehensive look in his face. Could he be talking to “The Beast Incarnate” himself, Brock Lesnar?
Match 2 - VS
-
Its official: Bo Dallas has joined forces with the dark side. With a
new look and accompanied by his fellow “brothers”, Dallas smiles at
Neville before unleashing a vicious beatdown. Neville managed to gain
some space but it was too late when he noticed that Luke Harper and
Erick Rowan were behind him, allowing Dallas to hit his finishing move,
renamed Bo-Down. The Family then went to attack the helpless Neville,
while Dallas rejoiced, much like his brother does.
Winner: Bo Dallas
- Before going to break, it’s announced another edition of John Cena’s U.S Title Open Challenge!
Match 3 - VS
- A nice showing by Big E here, trying to overpower Cena from the very beginning, successfully stopping any attempts of comeback from the champ. After a missed clothesline, Cena managed to execute his signature Sit-Out Powerbomb and his well known Five Knuckle Shuffle. Waiting for Big E to get back up, New Day members tried to distract the referee long enough to give Big E the chance to caught Cena with the Big Ending. To New Day’s dismay, Cena kicked out in the very last second. Big E tried another Big Ending but Cena impressively countered into an AA and got the pin! The Champ retains once again!
Winner: John Cena
- Backstage, we see Daniel Bryan getting ready for his return match after a long hiatus, as he faces Chris Jericho One-On-One! Tonight!
Match 4 - VS
-
A dominating display by the current champions, PTP. Titus bulldozed
Miz into a corner early on and delivered a hand full of strikes. The Miz
finally got some room to get a tag in on R-Truth, who managed to get
momentum going, throwing Titus into the ground outside and hitting the
Lie Detector on Young, now the legal man. R-Truth tried the cover but
with little success. The Miz was once more tagged in and went straight
for the Skull Crushing Finale but Young countered into a backbreaker.
Titus was once again tagged in, hitting a still very dizzy Miz with the
Clash of Titus, while Young kicked Truth on the apron. The Prime Time
Players are victorious.
- We see Michael Cole and JBL discussing about Brock Lesnar’s particular contract, that sets him for limited appearances, noting that perhaps Lesnar won’t even come to Monday Night Raw and answer The Authority’s challenge.
Match 5 - VS
-
As expected, this match was basically a brawl. Both men went straight
into a punching contest, with Owens gaining the upper hand. From there,
KO manhandled “The Lunatic Fringe” while trash talking to the audience.
Owens tried to go his signature Cannonball but Ambrose managed to slip
away, hitting a vicious DDT to Owens. Ambrose started gaining momentum
and launched himself into Owens, hitting multiple strikes and his
classic Rebound Clothesline! He tried the cover but Owens kicked out. KO
managed to get outside of the ring, trying to regroup but Ambrose would
say no to that. Dean goes for his Suicide Dive into the outside but
Kevin Owens moves, allowing Ambrose to hit the announcers table. Taking
the opportunity, Owens hits Ambrose with a vicious Super Kick and puts
Ambrose through the announcers table with a Powebomb! The referee starts
to count and Owens enters the ring while Ambrose is still yet to move.
Amazingly, Ambrose gets up and reaches the ring at the 9 count but it’s
welcomed with another Super Kick. Cover and… Kick out! Ambrose just
won’t stay down. Owens goes for the Pop-Up Powerbomb but Ambrose
counters into the Dirty Deeds! Owens kicks out!
-
Both men slowly get up and Ambrose goes for his Rebound Clothesline
again but it’s caught on Owens Pop-Up Powerbomb! 1-2-3! It’s done, Owens
wins!
- Owens trash talks to the camera, mentioning John Cena’s name and promising to be the United States Champion.
- Backstage, Kane and Triple H discuss the possibility of Lesnar not showing up, noting that it would save them all a lot of time if that happened. Paul Heyman appears, with a serious look in his face and stares at Kane, without saying a word…. He then leaves, leaving both Kane and Triple H concerned.
Match 6 - VS
-
The match started off with Jericho in control. Taking advantage of
some ring-rust on Bryan’s part, Y2J kept working on Bryan’s neck, known
to have some problems. The crowd is fully behind their beloved “Yes Man”
but Jericho shuts them up, by mocking the yes movement. Jericho then
goes for his Lionsault but Bryan puts his needs up, finally gaining some
time. Jericho quickly tries to regain control but Bryan bursts with
quick kicks! He then goes for a suplex but Jericho counters, throwing
Bryan into the ring post. Jericho slaps Bryan, who replies with a
headbutt and another set of kicks. He then gets Jericho with the Caddle
Mutilation! Jericho is in trouble! Somehow, Jericho managed to get to
the ropes, with Bryan letting the hold go. Bryan goes for a dropkick but
is caught with a Codebreaker! Cover! Kick out! Y2J now sets the Walls
of Jericho but Bryan counters into the Yes Lock! Bryan might have this
but……
-
RKO! Randy Orton just delivers a brutal RKO to Bryan, causing the DQ.
Winner: Daniel Bryan via DQ
- Orton stares at Bryan, apparently welcoming him back to….. his personal hell.
- We see a promo, hyping Wednesday’s NXT and the return of Kurt Angle!
Main Event - VS
-
The Authority follows Kane into the ring, waiting to see if Lesnar
answers the call or not. After 2 minutes waiting, Triple H tells Lilian
Garcia to consider Kane the victor of the contest but at that very
second…..
-
Brock Lesnar! He is here and he doesn’t look happy! The Beast storms
the ring, putting Kane to the ground with a vicious takedown! Lesnar
keeps striking Kane and grabs him for a German Suplex! Another Geman
Suplex! And another one! Kane can barely get to his feet. Lesnar looks
at Rollins on the outside, before grabbing Kane for another German
Suplex. Rollins starts shouting at the referee, providing a distraction,
allowing Kane to get Lesnar with a Big Boot. Kane then grabs Lesnar and
impressively, hits a backbreaker to The Beast. Rollins cheers on the
outside. Kane then goes to the top rope and actually hits his signature
Flying Clothesline, putting Lesnar to the ground. Kane finally
signalises the end by going for the Chokeslam but it’s shocked when he
sees Lesnar already up and almost beheading him with a clothesline!
Lesnar picks Kane up and hits an F-5! He then gets Kane up once more and
hits yet another F-5! Cover! It’s done, Lesnar wins!
- Rollins runs to the stage, meeting Triple H there while Brock Lesnar celebrates, screaming at The Authority “THIS IS JUST THE BEGINNING, B*TCHES!”
