- Welcome
everyone to TNA Impact! Tonight we’re going to have a blockbuster Main Event,
when “The Vigilante” Sting teams up with The Wolves to face Main Event Mafia in
a 6-Man Elimination Tag Team Match! The TNA World Champion EC3 and the TNA Tag
Team Champions Booker T & Scott Steiner will be eager to get their hands on
those who humiliated them last week! Don’t you dare miss it! Still tonight,
“The Destroyer” Bobby Lashley returns to TNA after his impressive win on
Bellator last weekend! He will face Austin Aries, who wants nothing more than
to defeat Lashley and perhaps secure a position to demand a King of The
Mountain Championship Match! Coming up next Drew Galloway goes 1-on-1 against
Diamond Dallas Page!
Match 1 – VS
- An
even match, with both men reversing each other’s offense multiple times. The
pace of the match changed when DDP actually hit a rake in the eyes on Galloway,
allowing him to get the upper hand. A more vicious and malicious Page started
working on Drew’s head while the crowd on Impact started to boo him. DDP didn’t
seem bothered by it and continue to work on Galloway’s head. After attempting
the Diamond Cutter, Galloway reversed and tried a pin combination but DDP
kicked out at the last second.
- The end came when DDP when for another dirty
blow and the Diamond Cutter, which was quickly countered into the Future Shock.
The Scottish superstar emerged victorious of the bout!
Winner: Drew Galloway
- After the match was done, Galloway celebrated
with the fans until an enraged DDP attacked him from behind. Dallas then
viciously launched Galloway against the steel steps and began setting up the
announcers table. Diamond Cutter on the announcers table!! The referee came
rushing down to check on the Scottish star, while Dallas begins to laugh
hysterically, as the crowd boos.
- Backstage we see Jeremy Borash ready to
interview The Main Event Mafia. He begins by asking what are their thoughts
about Sting’s actions last week and their upcoming 6-Man Tag Team Match later
tonight. Booker T quickly takes the microphone and goes on to say that tonight
there will be hell to pay. Sting is disgracing himself with dirty tactics and
cheap shots towards their champion, EC3. Booker then says that Sting is so
alone that he had to ask The Wolves to help him out but he’s actually glad he
did. Steiner jumps in and begins an outburst against The Wolves. He goes on to
say they have no idea what’s coming and after tonight’s match, The Wolves will
be nothing more than little puppies, scared and looking for their mommy! Kevin
Nash then says that Main Event Mafia knows exactly what to do to end those who
attempt to take what is rightfully theirs. Nash says their fearless leader EC3 is
getting ready to show Sting what it means to truly be a champion and an Icon.
They do their pose to finish up the segment.
- We return to the broadcast where Mike Tenay
informs us that TNA’s next PPV, Sacrifice, is getting closer! He confirms that
The Wolves will challenge Booker T & Scott Steiner for the TNA Tag Team
Championships and that Ethan Carter III and Sting will face each other for the
TNA World Heavyweight Championship, with a stipulation still to come! Coming up
next, “The Charismatic Enigma” Jeff Hardy faces ECW Original Sabu in a Hardcore
Match!
Match 2 – VS
- This
match went violent in no time, with Sabu going for all the toys he could get
his hands on. Jeff attempted to stop Sabu’s onslaught but the extreme wrestler
didn’t gave much chance for it, hitting Hardy with everything he could, from
kendo sticks, to steel chairs and even trash cans. At one point, Sabu pulled a
table to the ring but got by Jeff with a steel chair to the face. Hardy then began
showing some signs of getting back to the match, unleashing a fury of chair
shots to Sabu’s back.
- Jeff tried a Swanton Bomb to end it but Sabu moved at the
right time and hit a nasty Arabian Skullcrusher into the steel chair but
somehow Jeff Hardy kicked out. The crowd begins chanting “E-C-W” as Sabu tried
another Arabian Skull Crusher but this time Hardy was faster and pulled the
ropes on the ECW Original, giving enough time to hit a vicious Super Twist of
Fate. Hardy, always the daredevil, didn’t go for the pin and instead pulled a
Ladder and placed Sabu on top of a table on the outside. Swanton Bomb from the ladder! Jeff
Hardy wins a very violent match!
Winner: Jeff Hardy
- Hardy quickly falls to his knees, showing clear
signs of being hurt, which is no surprise after this brutal contest. Sabu is
checked on by the EMTs as the crowd show their appreciation for both
competitors, showing that they enjoy these types of hardcore matches.
- Backstage we see Jeff Jarrett going to The
Bullet Club’s locker room, with Borash trying to get a word out of the TNA
founder. He ask if there’s any truth to the current rumours but Jarrett quickly
tells him to shut his mouth, saying that rumours or no rumours, The Bullet Club
is here and tonight they’re going to have some fun. Jarrett closes the door
without giving much more information, leaving Borash high and dry.
- We return to the broadcast and there’s a promo
airing hyping the debut of Matt Sydal! The high-flying superstar is apparently
TNA bound, which is great news to the fans! Up next, The King of The Mountain
Champion Bobby Lashley faces “The Greatest Man That Ever Lived” Austin Aries!
Stay tuned!
Match 3 – VS
- Lashley
dominated most of the match, which didn’t surprise anyone in the arena. Aries
tried to keep the big man down with various kicks to the legs but “The
Destroyer” was having none of that and kept manhandling Double A. After feeding
up from the crowd’s energy, Lashley attempted to end this contest with the
Dominator but Aries managed to counter and almost get a surprise pinfall of the
KOTM champion. Aries somehow started getting the best out of Lashley, using all
his technical abilities to overcome the powerhouse and almost gaining the win
in several occasions. After a failed attempt with the Brainbuster, Lashley hit
a thunderous Spear, which would be enough to seal the deal but Bobby Roode’s
run in saved the match for his teammate. Lashley managed to clothesline Roode
to the ground but got hit with Brainbuster. In order to secure a decisive win,
Aries went to the top rope and attempted a 450º Splash.
- Unfortunately for the
former TNA World Champion, Lashley lifted his knees up, hitting Double A right
in the gut and finishing off with an earth shaking Spear. “The Destroyer” is in
full force!
Winner: Bobby Lashley
- While Lashley celebrates his important win,
Jeff Jarrett’s theme song plays and out comes the Co-leader of The Bullet Club,
with his signature guitar in hand. Jeff sarcastically congratulates Lashley on
his victory right now but tells the audience he has other things to say before
addressing Lashley. Jarrett says all this AJ Styles news has made him and the
rest of Bullet Club sick. Sick and tired of hearing the same thing over and
over. Jarrett goes on to say that honestly, AJ Styles was never truly with The
Bullet Club and only used its popularity for his own personal gains. Well,
that’s something they can’t allow. AJ showed his true colours now and the
result was him losing the IWGP World Championship to Tanahashi, which just
shows how Bullet Club was the reason for his success. Jarrett then officially
says that AJ Styles is GONE from Bullet Club and no longer appearing on TNA
because he isn’t worth it and no one will miss him! The crowd boos, chanting
for AJ Styles. Jarrett says not to worry because The Bullet Club always finds the
right people and sooner or later, someone will take AJ’s place and put his
accomplishments to shame! He then changes the topic and redirects to Lashley
once more, saying that he has something that literally belongs to him; The King
of The Mountain Championship. Jarrett goes on to let everyone know that he was
the first champion and that the title is named after him so it’s only natural
that the championship should be around his waist and not on an amateur wannabe
MMA fighter. He goes to rip Lashley’s MMA career, calling it “amateur time” and
finishing off by telling everyone he will get “his” championship back, the easy
way or the hard way. His theme music plays as Lashley looks ready for a fight.
Coming up next, the Japanese legend Jushin Thunder Liger will be in action
against another debuting superstar, PJ Black!
Match 4 – VS
- The
crowd gives a big ovation to the Japanese star, a legend in the business. Both
superstars exchange several reversals and counters, showing great athleticism
and technical awareness. Liger began showing all of his experience, avoiding
much of PJ’s offense and hitting him with some explosive moves, like a
Fisherman Buster and a Frog Splash. The former Justin Gabriel still managed to
stay in the match but Liger was fully concentrated and went for his finishing
move, Liger Bomb. Fortunately for the South African superstar, he managed to
reverse it into a Frankensteiner, followed by a great Standing Moonsault.
- The
so-called “Darewolf” went for the ropes and did a fantastic Springboard 450º
Splash but Jushin Liger moved away and connects with the Liger Bomb. At that
moment, The Young Bucks show up and begin arguing with the referee, while the
audience looks confused. Liger tells the referee to take them out of the ring
but the distraction is fatal for the Japanese, as PJ Black takes the
opportunity for the roll-up and the win!
Winner: PJ Black
- Liger looks confused and looks at the referee
but forgets that The Young Bucks are still there. Both Bullet Club members
quickly enter the ring and begin a vicious attack on Liger, as the crowd boos.
The brothers start stepping up their signature More Bang for Your Buck but PJ
Black re-enters the ring and attempts to stop them. Nick and Matt look at PJ
and corner him but out of nowhere, the three men do the “Too Sweet” hand
gesture and go on to viciously assault Jushin Liger! The Bucks hit a double
Super Kick, while PJ Black goes on to the top rope and hits his 450º Splash!
They celebrate while the Bucks give PJ Black a Bullet Club T-shirt, apparently
making it official that PJ Black is the newest member of The Bullet Club!
- Back at the announcers table, Mikey Tenay and
Todd Grisham show a replay of what just happened with PJ Black apparently
joining The Bullet Club. They mention how fast Jarrett was in finding someone
to replace AJ Styles and that this could mean a very interesting career path
for the young South African superstar. Changing topics, Tenay informs us that
there have been talks of bringing back the X-Division Championship, which was
the centrepiece of TNA. At the same time, the IWGP Championship might not
appear on TNA programming for a good while, since the TNA-NJPW relationship
doesn’t include all of their talents and at the moment, Hiroshi Tanahashi is
the current champion and not available to appear on USA. After the short
information, they hype the upcoming 6-Man Elimination Tag Team Match! The Main
Event Mafia is looking to get some retribution against Sting and The Wolves
after their recent actions so there’s plenty to look forward to! Will Sting get
the best of EC3 and MEM once again or will the TNA World Heavyweight Champion
EC3 show a new side tonight? Stay tuned, this match is NEXT!
Main Event
6-Man Tag Team Elimination Match
VS
- The
Main Event Mafia dominated the early part of the match, with several tags and
focusing on Davey Richards, preventing him to reach his partners and make a
tag. Davey Richards suffered a severe beating, with Booker T & Steiner
double teaming him and trying to put him away quickly. After an Exploder Suplex
attempt by Steiner, Davey managed to get some offense and actually hit various
kicks and punches to “Big Poppa Pump”.
- Davey managed to tag in Eddie Edwards
who cleaned house and exploded all over the ring until he got blindsided by
EC3, leaving open path for a legal Booker T to finish him off with a Scissors
Kick, leading to the first elimination. [Eddie Edwards eliminated]. Sting
finally enters the match and managed to keep his team alive, hitting all of
Main Event Mafia members with fury. Despite another cheap attack attempt, Davey
Richards managed to save Sting and did a fantastic Suicide Dive, sending both
EC3 and Booker T to the ground outside, leaving enough time for Sting to lock
in the Scorpion Deathlock on Steiner and tie the match up.
- [Scott Steiner
eliminated]. Sting and EC3 finally meet but only for brief seconds, as the TNA
World Champion quickly tags in Booker T. After some strong hold exchanges,
Sting was forced to tag in Davey Richards, who again went all out and went for
a Die Hard Fisherman Buster but Davey was too close to MEM’s corner, allowing
EC3 to make the blind tag and break the move, hitting the One Percenter to send
the remaining Wolf packing.
- [Davey Richards eliminated]. Sting realized his
situation but even so he showed all of his heart, withstanding an initial
assault until a reversed Book End into a Scorpion Death Drop tied the match
once more, leaving the two nemeses finally face to face.
- [Booker T eliminated].
Both men went full out but Sting was on fire and hit EC3 with several high
impactful moves. “The Icon” then began using the crowd’s power to his benefit
and went for his patented Stinger Splash on Ethan Carter but unfortunately it
also hit the referee, putting the official down. At this very moment, Kevin Nash
comes walking down the ramp, as the crowd booed knowing what this could mean.
Nash enters and tries to Chokeslam Sting but “The Vigilante” still had some
fight in him and fought back.
- As usual, the numbers were too much to overcome,
with EC3 taking advantage and hitting the One Percenter on Sting and earning
the victory for his team!
Winners: Main Event Mafia
- EC3 is helped by Kevin Nash, who quickly sets
his sights on Sting again. “Big Daddy Cool” picks the fallen painted warrior up
and connects with not one but TWO Jacknife Powerbombs, as Ethan Carter looks
with a serious face and begins setting up the One Percenter. At that very
moment, Mr. Anderson comes to Sting’s aid but is quickly stopped by Kevin Nash,
who delivers a huge Big Boot and Jacknife Powerbomb.
- The Main Even Mafia just
sent a serious message to Sting and anyone who dares step in their way! Thank
you all for watching and good night!
