A Look at The Wyatt Family

 

The world of professional wrestling is known for its eras. Eras that were defined by characters that were larger than life, characters that were connected to the audience and characters that followed a darker path.  Then, there’s characters that reach far beyond and combine everything into one. That’s The Wyatt Family.

Ever since their debut, this group of sinister individuals have been a question mark. A complex puzzles to complete or even understand. From riddles to simply instigating fear, The Family has been an important part of Monday Night RAW and WWE for a good while but it seems that now, now is the time for something to happen. Something IS already happening. The signs are there, the actions are evident, and the dark shadow that surrounds WWE is already visible. The question is, what is it? What significant event is about to happen? What are the real true goals of Bray Wyatt and his minions? Perhaps a better look at The Family itself will help us understand a bit better:

  - Part of the original Family, the duo followed their leader Bray Wyatt without ever questioning him, manhandling their opponents with no mercy or compassion. After their apparent “freedom” granted by Bray himself, both men failed to gain much success, with only Harper gaining a short run as Intercontinental Champion. After apparently losing their way, "The New Face of Desolation" and "The New Face of Vengeance" found their way back to their cult leader, reuniting for a common purpose and soon found success with their recent capture of the WWE Tag Team Championships.

  - After Bray Wyatt acknowledged Bo Dallas as his real life brother and extending his hand to the depressed superstar, a new monster was born. Bo “Wyatt” soon began showing signs of a complete transformation, even taking some of his brother’s mannerisms and using them as his own. The “Sibling of Death” has targeted Neville twice in a row, which brings the questions about what kind of issue does Bo Wyatt has with the British superstar. It seems evident that there’s something bothering the new member of The Family.

  - “The Eater of Worlds”. "The New Face of Fear". Bray Wyatt, the leader and head of The Family. After a promising start in WWE, soon he found several setbacks at the hands of John Cena, The Undertaker or more recently Roman Reigns. These setbacks lead to a break in his spirit, to a state of depression by Bray Wyatt but soon enough, all those signs of defeat and desperation seem forgotten and gone as The Wyatt leader is apparently on a crusade. Attacks on the likes of Ryback, The Prime Time Players, The Rock and more recently the WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins show that Bray is on to something. From interrupting “The Great One” with much pleasure, to apparently taking Darren Young to parts unknown, culminating with taking the WWE World Heavyweight Championship with him, it’s evident that Bray Wyatt has a plan. A diabolical plan at hand and it’s left to the WWE Universe to begin putting the pieces together and understand what it is. Until then, everything is left in the air and no one is safe.

A list of the Superstars attacked by The Wyatt Family and possible reasons for it:

– Two times attacked, with the last one ending with an attempt in taking the British superstar with them. Perhaps it has a connection with the fact that it was Neville who ended Bo Wyatt’s NXT Championship reign in the past and lead to the down spiral that Bo lived afterwards.

– Attacked by both Bray Wyatt and Bo Wyatt. Reasons are hard to decipher.

– The most important attack so far. There seemed to be a disdain look on Bray Wyatt’s face when looking at the fallen body of The Rock. Perhaps an issue with Rocky’s success outside of wrestling or the fact that he wants to return to the ring shortly, which may have enraged Bray Wyatt.

– They were the WWE Tag Team Champions at the time, which lead to The Family targeting both men. During their bout at Extreme Rules, Darren Young was apparently taken, as he disappeared from the arena and hasn’t been seen ever since. The result was Harper & Rowan defeating a helpless Titus O’Neil and taking the gold to their ranks.

– The most recent attack, an enigmatic one. The Family attacked Rollins after the champion was gloating about retained his championship against Brock Lesnar. The Wyatts destroyed “The Architect” and shockingly took the WWE World Heavyweight Championship with them. The words “I can see you” spoken to Rollins by Bray Wyatt have been a true riddle for the WWE Universe, with no one apparently coming up with a solid reason for the events. One must wonder why Bray and his Family would go for The Authority Champion, which can create an issue in the future.

Something is coming and it’s going to take WWE by storm. Whatever it is, one thing is certain; no one is safe and there’s no place to hide from the destructive force of The Wyatt Family.
